🎶 The Hare and The Tortoise - Lyrics!
Once upon a time, a Tortoise and a Hare were talking about which of the two of them was faster. The Hare boasted of his speed and that no one had ever beaten him in a race.
Hare singing:
I am hansom, I am fast
I'm king of the meadow.
When I'm running you can see
nothing but my shadow. x 2
He teased the Tortoise, running around it to show his speed.
The Tortoise got bored of listening to his bragging, so she agreed to participate in the race, to prove which of them is faster.
Tortoise singing:
Tortoise, that is who I am
I am slow but steady
I'm persistent, I am smart
for the race I'm ready. x 2
They chose a track for their race in the middle of a forest, set the time, and started their preparations.
The Hare, knowing how fast he is and confident in his victory, took the time before the race to relax, while the Tortoise was diligently training.
And so, it was race day, warm and sunny. The Hare and the Tortoise met on the starting line, ready to show who’s faster.
They left the startline. The Hare flew, as if shot from a sling, and disappeared from the Tortoise’s view in a cloud of dust, while the Tortoise began walking slowly, but steadily.
The Hare sprinted across the track and somewhere halfway into the race, he stopped to see where the Tortoise was. She was nowhere to be seen.
As it was very warm, the Hare, believing that the Tortoise could never catch up to him, decided to take a small break under the shade of a tree.
It was very pleasant in the shade of the tree, and the Hare quickly fell asleep. In that time, the Tortoise stubbornly moved towards her goal.
When the Hare woke up, he saw the Tortoise almost at the finish line, so he ran as fast as his legs could carry him, hoping that he still has a chance for victory.
Even though the Hare tried to make up for lost time, the Tortoise crossed the finish line first!...🎶
